Eight BME Students receive this year's NSF Fellowship

The Department of Biomedical Engineering would like to proudly congratulate the eight students who won the 2012 National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship.

With Brandon Borde, Jean Cruz, and Matt Goff receiving honorable mention.

The NSF's Graduate Research Fellowship Program helps "ensure the vitality of the human resource base of science and engineering in the United States and reinforces its diversity. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees at accredited US institutions."

The winners of the fellowship receive three years support with a $30,000 annual stipend as well as international and professional development opportunities.
