The presentations were organized alongside Sciencenter staff as part of a science communication workshop presented by Prof. Steve Adie as part of his NSF CAREER award and the Sciencenter’s NSF-funded Portal to the Public. The workshop was presented in two sessions with the Sciencenter staff. The first part consisted of a training session on science communication and hands-on activities to do with children. The second session consisted of designing and practicing a demo that later was modified for the virtual platform due to the pandemic.

Meinig School student presenters included Ph.D. students Rose Buchmann (Erickson Lab), Nancy Ruiz-Uribe (Schaffer Lab), and Lu Ling (Fischbach Lab), and postdoc Justin Liu (Adie Lab).
