Prof. Bonassar discussed progress in cartilage tissue printing, specifically focused on efforts to engineer cartilage for pediatric patients with the congenital defect of microtia. The interview also discusses the clinical need for such therapies as well as efforts in his laboratory to engineer shaped cartilage as a therapeutic option for treating this clinical need.
