Ilana Brito Pew Scholar

Brito named a Pew Biomedical Scholar

Congratulations to Meinig School Assistant Professor Ilana Brito, on being named by the Pew Charitable Trusts as one of 22 early-career researchers in the 2018 class of Pew Scholars in the biomedical sciences. The scholars receive four-year grants to advance their explorations of biological mechanisms underpinning human health and disease. Dr. Brito will use her award to look at how the use of antibiotics drives the emergence of multidrug-resistant microbes.
