Three faculty receive teaching excellence awards

Iwijn De Vlaminck, David Putnam, Ankur Singh
Congratulations to Professors Iwijn De Vlaminck, David Putnam, and Ankur Singh on receiving 2016-2017 Excellence in Teaching Awards from Cornell's College of Engineering. The faculty were recognized at an awards ceremony held Tuesday, November 7th at McManus Lounge in Hollister Hall.
- Assistatnt Professor Iwijn DeVlaminck received the Robert ’55 and Vanne ’57 Cowie teaching award in recognition of his success teaching Introduction to BME (BME 1310) and Precision and Genomic Medicine (BME 6120)
- Associate Professor David Putnam received the Mr. & Mrs. Richard E. Tucker teaching award for sustained excellence in Engineering Principles for Drug Delivery (BME 6310) and development of Multiscale Biomaterial Analysis (BME 3210)
- Assistant Professor Ankur Singh received the John Swanson '61 ME in honor of his mother, Dorothy G. Swanson teaching award in recognition of his Biofluid Mechanics (MAE4650/4651/5650, MAE 6690) and Immuno-engineering (MAE 6630) teaching
