On Tuesday, April 30, Meinig School graduate student services coordinator Belinda Floyd was awarded an Unsung Hero award at the 2019 Graduate Diversity & Inclusion Spring Recognition Banquet. The award was one of three given to individuals to recognize their significant contributions towards the advancement of efforts around diversity, inclusion, outreach, and graduate student engagement.

Each year, OISE and the Graduate and Professional Diversity Council present several awards to students and staff who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to promoting the growth and personal and professional development of graduate and professional students who represent the diversity of the Cornell community.
