Celebration honors student, alumni entrepreneurs

Meinig School student team of Molly Eron ’23, Danielle Frye ’23, Katie McGarty ’23, Veronica Vila ’23 and Chenglin Zhu ’23 won a $2,500 Ronald ’57 and Frederick ’86 Fichtl Innovation Award for My IUD, their smart contraceptive device, which alerts users to movement or issues with their intrauterine device. $9.5M to fund chronic fatigue syndrome research

A Cornell multidisciplinary research center that studies chronic fatigue syndrome has received a five-year, $9.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health – funding that will enable experts to continue work on the mysterious and debilitating condition. Read more

Aspiring to provide better off-campus housing

A desire for better off-campus student housing was the inspiration for Jeremiah James Ph.D. ’26 to create Adaptive Rentals. The company seeks to purchase and renovate properties and strives to be the “student landlord of choice” in Ithaca. Read more
