Madhur Srivastava receives CALSAA grant
Congratulations to Madhur Srivastava, a Meinig School Ph.D. student, chosen to receive a grant of $1000 from Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Alumni Association’s Academic Enrichment Program. Mr. Srivastava will use the award to visit the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and analyze magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data from prostate cancer patients. There, he will conduct experiments to adapt his newly-developed wavelet-based signal denoising method on the MRI during the real-time data acquisition process. This grant will support his research in improving MRI image quality along with reducing the overall scanning time.
The Academic Enrichment Program serves to foster the educational goals of Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) undergraduate and graduate students by providing financial support for activities that complement and enhance each student’s academic experience at Cornell and for which funding is often not available.
