Professor Yi Wang receives Distinguished Investigator Award
Congratulations to Professor Yi Wang on receiving a 2015 Distinguished Investigator Award from the Academy of Radiology Research! Dr. Wang received the award during a ceremony at the RSNA meeting on December first.
Yi Wang holds the Faculty Distinguished Professorship at the Department of Radiology, and is a tenured Professor of Physics in Radiology, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and the Principal Investigator of the 3T MRI facility at Cornell University. He has invented multiple MRI technologies essential to the clinical and scientific communities.
He leads the Cornell MRI Research lab, which is actively pursuing technical developments for clinical and pre-clinical applications in cardiovascular, cancer & neurological diseases. His current research activities are in three major areas: 1) Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM); 2) Temporally and Spatially Resolved 4D Imaging; 3) Cardiovascular Imaging. His teaching interests include principles of medical imaging and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
