Dave Putnam wins NSF CAREER award
Assistant professor, David Putnam, has won a National Science Foundation CAREER Award for his proposal titled, “CAREER: An Interdisciplinary Research and Education Program for Predictive Biomaterial Design”. This award is one of the most competitive and prestigious offered by the NSF and provides significant support for young faculty as they develop their research and teaching programs. Professor Putnam’s proposed research program focuses on quantifying the design parameters for a new class of bioadhesives, and his teaching program focuses on developing new ways to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives into curricula at the K12, undergraduate and graduate levels.
