Professor Michael Shuler Named First Receipient of James E. Bailey Award
The Society of Biological engineering has named Michael L. Shuler, Chair of Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University as the first recipient of the James E. Bailey Award for Outstanding Contributions in Biological Engineering. The award is endowed by Ctyos Biotechnology and is given in memory of Professor Jay Bailey for his pioneering contributions in biotechnology. The award will be presented November 1, 2005 at AIChE’s 2005 Annual Meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio.
