Shivaun Archer receives teaching award
Congratulations to Shivaun Archer, BMEP Instructional Lab Manager, on receiving the Sonny Yau '72 Excellence in Teaching Award. Shivaun was cited for her work in developing and managing the laboratory components of BME 101, 301, 302, 401, and 402. Since these courses are quite unique and there were no existing models, she built an effective educational infrastructure from scratch in a very short period of time. Shivaun was also cited for her suppotive and effective interactions with both TA's and students. This honor is very well-deserved. This was the first year BME could make a nomination, and BME was allowed only one nomination. We are very pleased that our colleagues agreed that Shivaun was worthy of this recognition.
