PhD Graduate Student, Joseph Califano, Wins BMES Extended Abstract Award
Joseph Califano, PhD student in the laboratory of Cynthia Reinhart-King, received a 2009 BMES Extended Abstract Award, to be presented at the annual BMES fall meeting. He is one of 18 winners nationwide. The award consists of a plaque, a check for $400 and a 2009 BMES full meeting registration. There was a record number of submissions this year and the scholarship level was exceedingly high, so this is quite an honor for Joe. The award will be presented to him at the “BMES Award Ceremony” taking place Thursday, October 8th, in the David Lawrence Conference Center, Pittsburgh, PA.
