Prof. Luo's lab, the Molecular BioEngineering Laboratory, works in three major directions: 1) Nucleic Acid Engineering, which aims to manipulate nucleic acid molecules (including DNA, RNA and PNA) in a generic, instead of genetic way in order to engineer nucleic acids into novel materials; 2) Drug Delivery, which focuses on constructions of efficient and specific nucleic acid hybrid delivery systems from Nucleic Acid Engineered materials; and 3) Nanotechnology, which concentrates on creating nanopatterns, nanowires, and nanodevices based on Nucleic Acid Engineered materials.
