Academics

Application to the Field of Biomedical Engineering is made through the Graduate School at Cornell University. Students can be admitted for the fall or spring semesters. The application consists of:

• an application form
• a statement of purpose
• transcripts
• letters of recommendation
• payment of the application fee
• scores on the General Record Examinations (GRE) general test

Applicants whose native language is not English must also meet the English proficiency requirement.  Applicants seeking fellowships should take the GRE tests no later than October.

Applications to the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) program are accepted on a rolling basis. To have enough time to process the necessary paperwork and issue any visa documents, here are the following deadlines:

Domestic Students:
- June 30 for fall admission
- November 15 for spring admission

International Students:
-May 1st for fall admission
-October 1st for spring admission
