Graduate Programs
The Meinig School offers students a world-class education in a world-class research environment through two graduate degree programs: a master of engineering (M.Eng.) and a doctorate of philosophy (Ph.D.).
BME graduate students master a set of core concepts and principles critical to a fundamental understanding of biomedical engineering, but also have tremendous flexibility in designing a sequence of coursework and research. With guidance and approval, programs are tailored to meet particular needs and interests across six strategic research areas.
Our faculty routinely conduct interdisciplinary research with members of other departments. For our graduate students, this provides exposure to a broad spectrum of concepts and the experience of an unusually collaborative culture.
